Jummah Update!
The Imam today was motivated to speak about how the brothers from Woolwich were wrong and misguided, I decided to wait until after Salah to speak to him. Alhamdullila I went to him after Salah and advised him softly that I am a regular attendee of the Masjid and I had some Naseeha for him, I advised him that he should focus of the crimes of the Kaafireen rather than attack his Muslim brothers for a so called ‘Mistake’ they made (According to their Aqeedah). After that he raised his voice, claim I was an extremist and I make Islam look bad, the Masjid members then started grabbing me, trying to push me about and throw me out. Alhamdullila some Muslims from Ahlus Sunnah stood up to defend me and protect me from the attack, the Imam then starting telling people I was trying to divide the Ummah and cause Fitna, when I told him I was merely given advice as a Muslim brother, he grabbed my beard and try to pull me to the ground, once I explained the grave sin of such acts, he said that it doesn’t matter as I am a Kaafir Mushrik who doesn’t represent Islam, they then told the people to take me back inside so they can kill me as I am a Wahhabi. Alhamdullila the brothers got me out of the Masjid and with all the people of the Masjid seeing what happened also came outside to see what happened, a big crowd gathered and they gave me the time and space to explain what happened and why I said what I said about the brothers in Woolwich, Alhamdullila after some time the croud agreed and openly started condemning the Imam, many brothers started supporting brother Mujahid explaining that he didn’t attack an innocent person and he targeted a British Soldier who was murdering Muslims in Afghanistan, many agreed and many disagreed, but Alhamdullila everyone agreed that the Imam’s actions were not from the Sunnah. The Imam’s actions were a witness against his false speech and gave Ahlus Sunnah a window to spread the Haq, make Dua for those who supported the message despite being outnumbered and spoken against.
The message was delivered and the Muslims accepted it, may Allah guide us all.
